Yancheng: A Bright Pearl of the Yellow Sea Yancheng is located in the east of the Jianghuai plain and borders on the Yellow Sea. It is a city with a long history and brilliant traditional culture. Yancheng claimed its founding as a county in the fourth year of Yuanshou (119BC) in the West Han Dynasty. Well-known for its salt production, it was named Yandu at that time. In the seventh year of Yixi (411AD)in the East Jin Dynasty, it was renamed Yancheng county. In 1983,Yancheng municipality was established and it governed two cities, five counties and three districts. The area of the city is 15,000 square kilometers and the population is 7.9 million.The climate in Yancheng is mild and there is vast land with a long coastline of 582 kilometres. Brief Introduction to Yancheng Institute of Technology Yancheng Institute of Technology (YCIT) is located in Yancheng, an open coastal city and the home of the New Fourth Army, oriental wetlands as well. It has three large, spacious campuses whose extensive floral landscaping provides for a serene setting. With a total area of 154 hectares and floor space of 330,000 square meters, its teaching facilities are valued over RMB65 million yuan. I. Job vacancy: 5 English Teachers. All are supposed to work from September 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006 or longer.
II. Requirements:
1. English native speakers from USA, UK, Canada and Australia with university degrees or TESL/TEFL certificates.
2. Between 20 to 60 years old, healthy, with English teaching experience preferred
3. Employment of one academic year at least
III. The duties of an international teacher:

The college pays more than the guiding salary standard for a foreign cultural and educational expert made by State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and Ministry of Finance:
1.For a foreign teacher to teach English Language,who is assigned no more than 16 teaching hours: RMB 3800,with teaching experience preferred;
2.For a foreign teacher to teach specialty,who is assigned no more than 12 teaching hours: RMB4600, with teaching experience preferred;
3.In addition to salary paid per month, school will provide RMB1100 as tour allowance for each semester.
Living treatment:
1. School provides a 60-square-meter apartment equipped with all the necessary facilities.
2. The foreign teacher can be reimbursed for medical expenses no more than RMB 1,000 per annum by providing the prescriptions and receipts of the institute clinic or formal municipal hospitals.
3. For the foreign teacher whose stay is no longer than 6 months the host institute will reimburse a one-way international flight fare for the nearest distance between China and the country of economic class; for those whose period of stay is longer than one academic year (including one academic year) the institute will reimburse a return international flight ticket of economic class. The teacher may purchase the round trip ticket by him/herself and the expenses will be reimbursed before the expiration of the contract.
