Brief Introduction of Anji Shangshu Private High School

Anji Shangshu Private High School (ASPHS), located in Anji Economic Development Zone, Zhejiang Province, established in 1984, is the first private high school in New China.

ASPHS has enjoyed great prestige during the past 20 years. Now, it is one of the key subject experimental schools appointed by China Education Ministry, appraised as a Fine Local-people-run School by Zhejiang Province government, as well as ranked as a key vocational school for its good teaching result. At present, there are nearly 4000 teachers and students at school, including 13 foreign teachers, which is one of the largest senior high schools in Huzhou District, Zhejiang Province.


School Facilities
ASPHS, lies in Anji ------ famous China Bamboo Town, is located at the foot of Lingfeng Mountain and beside Tiaoxi River, covering approximately 278 mu with nice buildings. It is a tranquil and beautiful garden school. All the classrooms in it are equipped with 29-inch color and circuit-round televisions, computer centers with 600 computers connected internet, a multi-media room with advanced modern equipment, language labs with total 594 seats, an international standardized 400-meter sports ground and football ground, etc. The school is also equipped with IC card system for dining hall, IC Telephone, school clinic, shower rooms and shops. ASPHS has a complete set of living facilities. In the newly-built standardized student dormitory, each room has a separate toilet, balcony and telephone.

School Teaching Staff
There are 400 in-service teachers, including 85% of teachers with the medium and senior title of a professional post. A group of excellent teachers from key high schools from all over the country have been absorbed to work here since the adoption ¡°Excellent Teachers Project.¡± Now ASPHS has a high- quality staff with reasonable age composition and high educational level. Besides, we have 13 foreign teachers from Japan and America respectively, among whom Japanese expert Mr. Mizino won ¡°West Lake Friendship Prize¡± for excellent foreign experts in Zhejiang Province and was cordially given prize Wang yongming, Deputy Governor of Zhejiang Province.

College
Besides, ASPHS has invested a college named Zhejiang Yuxiang Foreign Languages College (ZYFLC) nearby, opened in year 2002. ZYFLC also welcomes foreign teachers!
